Astrid Chain Necklace

Astrid is a star, and this is what a star does to a line of gold. An 18k chain of long, open links runs eighteen inches to sit just at the collarbone, and at its centre one link is paved with 130 brilliant natural diamonds — 0.75 carats gathered into a single bright point that moves when you do. Everything else stays quiet so that it doesn't have to. Against an open collar it is enough on its own; under a longer chain it becomes the closest layer. Most days it never comes off.
